Jennifer Lopez’s problems with her boyfriend supposedly “pre-date” recent cheating claims.
Earlier this week rumours emerged the superstar’s beau Casper Smart engaged in sexting with a transsexual model.
But apparently Jennifer and Casper have been on the rocks long before these salacious texting allegations went public.
"There were issues that pre-date these new reports,” a source told People magazine.
It is claimed Casper’s recent controversy landed him in deep trouble with Jennifer, as the songstress is allegedly compelled to end their romance soon.
She is busy with work right now however and her professional obligations are purportedly preventing her from breaking up immediately.
"Now, all this stuff comes out about sexting. They're still together, technically, but no idea for how long,” another insider claimed.
"She has a really busy three weeks and doesn't have time to deal with this. And she's on the East Coast and he's working on the West Coast."
Jennifer is currently preparing to put on a free concert for thousands of people in her native New York City neighbourhood, The Bronx.
And she recently announced a community health initiative which is sponsored by her charitable organisation, Lopez Family Foundation.
The songstress is also releasing her eighth studio album A.K.A. on June 13 and it is claimed she remains in positive spirits despite her rumoured personal problems with Casper.
"She is excited about where her life is right now,” a source noted.
Jennifer has been married three times, most recently splitting from fellow singer Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage in 2011.
A few months after separating from Marc she began dating Casper.
