Rihanna doesn’t want to be friends with Chris Brown’s girlfriend, according to reports.
The Stay singer dated Chris from 2007 until 2009, when they broke up after the Forever singer assaulted her. Chris began an on again, off again relationship with current girlfriend Karrueche Tran in 2010, but despite the aspiring models best attempts to connect with Rihanna, the Barbadian has so far rejected her efforts.
“Rihanna and Kae aren’t real cool but that’s Rihanna’s fault because in the past, Kae has tried to communicate,” a source close to the singer told Hollywood Life.
Chris broke off his relationship with Karrueche in 2012 as he didn’t want to see her hurt over his friendship with Rihanna. The two singers then briefly rekindled their relationship in early 2013 but parted ways a few months later in May, before Chris hooked up once more with Karrueche.
The 25-year-old was released from jail on June 2 after 108 days behind bars. Chris was placed behind bars in March after breaking the rules of the rehab facility he was previously in. The first thing he did was reunite with her girlfriend for some much needed TLC.
“To let Karrueche tell it, she’s going to lock his a** up, bathe him for hours and forget about the outside world. He just wants to have his freedom,” the source revealed. “He doesn’t want to be around anyone, just his family and Kae and he wants to be in his home doing nothing. He misses his couches, his bed, his shower. You can tell by the look on his puppy dog face that he’s sad and tired.”
