Kylie Minogue has slammed rumours she's "breaking up" with her record label.

Yesterday British newspaper The Sun claimed the Australian was parting ways with Parlophone, who she's been signed to since 1999, saying the deal had come to a "natural end".

Now the 46-year-old has taken to Twitter to clear up the situation.

"Whoaahhh... @parlophone!! According to 'sources' we r 'breaking up'! Not true. Exciting times ahead!#LOVEu4EVA (sic)," she clarified in a tweet.

Kylie released her latest album Kiss Me Once in March, but it hasn't fared as well as hoped. The petite singer's record did make number two in the UK chart, but single Into the Blue only debuted at 46 in the Australian chart, while second single I Was Gonna Cancel peaked at 59 in the UK.

The Sun claimed Kylie was unhappy with the outcome.

“Kylie is one of the world’s leading pop stars so was bitterly disappointed about the performance of her album," a source told the publication.

“The blame is being put on Parlophone for not promoting it as well as they could have. Kylie’s team provided the singer with some of the best songs of her career.

“Kylie did everything she could, even agreeing to be a judge on The Voice for a year, which is something she would have liked to avoid in an ideal world.”

The star is currently preparing for her Kiss Me Once Tour, which kicks off in England in September, moving through Europe before finishing in Switzerland in November.
