Gene Simmons apparently “has witnesses” to prove he wasn’t rude to Eric Stonestreet’s mother.

The Kiss rocker was tangled in controversy this week after the Modern Family actor took to social media to accuse Gene of mocking his mother on a flight to Kansas City.

In an interview with PerezHilton.com on Friday, the blogger said Gene is standing by his story.

According to Perez, the veteran rocker wants to “clear the air”, but refuses to acknowledge being mean-spirited to the Stonestreet family matriarch, insisting he was “nothing but nice” to Eric’s mom.

The report follows days after Eric blasted Gene in an Instagram message, detailing how he and Kiss bandmate Paul Stanley allegedly tried to bully his mother out of her seat.

“Turns out both Gene Simmons AND Paul Stanley were on my mom’s flight to Kansas City. Gene tried to bully my mom out of her seat and when she said no, he said, it’s ok, I just bought the plane and then asked for HER autograph. –d**k move,” he wrote (sic).

“Then Paul called her ‘Aunt Bee.’ –d**k move I can’t wait to run into you two old a** makeup wearing f**ks and tell you in person; you should have been nicer to my mom (sic)."

A social media war of words ensued. Gene swiftly took to Twitter to dismiss the claims.

“Someone posted a story which is blatantly untrue. The essence of it was that we were mean to somebody's mother. It's simply untrue,” he wrote.

But Eric was unrelenting.
“Ok @genesimmons. Take care. I assure u, I will have a stern talk with my mom about making up stories. Old people, ya know? OUR apologies:),” the actor wrote.

And when the remark was misinterpreted as sincere, Eric quickly clarified: “@genesimmons Geno. Baby. My tweet wasn't an apology. I was making fun of u. Im sorry u didn't get that. Still with my mom on this one, pal (sic)."
