Jennifer Lopez is happy with the “sweet and sexy” vibe of her sultry new music video.

The 44-year-old singer and actress released First Love, the second single off her forthcoming album A.K.A., in early May, followed by the accompanying music video on May 29.

And Jennifer is elated with how the promo footage turned out, as she believes it visually encapsulates the tune’s ultimate message.

"It's a sweet and sexy video, I think," she told People magazine. "It definitely captures the feeling of the song."

Celebrity music video director Anthony Mandler, who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles, helmed the promo.

The songstress appreciates Anthony’s expertise, and said she relied on his insight throughout the project.

He even convinced her to film the music video in black and white.

"We talked a lot about whether we would do a little bit of colour or pops of colour," Jennifer recalled. "But Anthony felt strongly that it be all in black and white."

The stunning singer has been the subject of controversy following her latest release, however.

Jennifer premiered the 2014 World Cup anthem, called We Are One (Ole Ola), with Pitbull at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month.

The pair joined Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte to open the show with the track following the release of its music video, which Brazilians criticised for capturing clichés about their country, including samba dancers, capoeira and drumming.
Jennifer’s new album A.K.A. will be released in June.
