Rita Ora doesn't want to "interrupt" Calvin Harris' career.

The How We Do singer is loved up with her DJ beau, but their hectic work schedules means they often have to spend extended periods of time away from one another. However, the musical duo have enjoyed a little more time together than usual, thanks to their collaboration on new track I Will Never Let You Down.

The song topped the UK charts and 23-year-old Rita couldn't be happier, though she is mindful not to let her fame overshadow Calvin's work.

"I'm so proud of everything he's achieved. He's so successful in his own right that the last thing I want to do is interrupt that and ruin it. I think it's about just making sure we understand each other. You have to understand the person," she said to the British edition of Hello! magazine.

While things are going well inside and out of the studio, there is one thing that plays on Rita's mind. It worries her that they can't always be together due to their busy lives.

"Long-distance relationships aren't ideal. They're really hard and there are times when you feel as if you're on your own," Rita confessed. "I think if you really want to make it work, you will; it just requires a lot of patience, a lot of trust. It kinds of sucks but sometimes, you just have to take the situation for what it is."

Prior to her union with Calvin, Rita had an ill-fated romance with reality TV star Rob Kardashian. But the sour end to the relationship, where Rob accused Rita of cheating with "nearly 20 dudes", hasn't clouded Rita's view on love.

"[It takes] trust, belief and commitment [to fall in love]. It's very hard to be in a relationship, as you have to sacrifice things. Now there are two of you instead of one and it's amazing to feel like that," she gushed.
