Miley Cyrus wants to resume her relationship with ex-Liam Hemsworth, according to reports.

The We Can’t Stop singer and the Hunger Games actor dated for three years after meeting on the set of 2009 film The Last Song. The couple became engaged in June 2012 but ended their relationship in September last year. But despite recent outbursts from the 21-year-old that seemed to slam her ex, an insider believes Miley actually wants him back.

“Miley was trying to get a rise out of Liam. She misses him,” a Us Weekly source said, according to Hollywood Life. “There’s a part of her that wants to get back together.”

However that didn’t seem to be the case during a secret gig in London recently. As she introduced her hit song Wrecking Ball, which was rumoured to have been written about the demise of their relationship, Miley seemed to lambast Liam.

“I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say ‘f*** you’,” she told the crowd. “I wanted to write a No1 hit, something that would be on the radio. I wanted to make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life.”

The former Hannah Montana star later denied it was about anyone specific and she was just “trying to rile up the boys.” But it’s this behaviour that a source close to the Australian actor is keen to avoid.

“He wants to stay clear of her drama,” the insider said. “He’s been dating around.”
