Ciara cried “uncontrollable happy tears” when she left hospital with her baby.

The 28-year-old singer and her rapper fiancé Future welcomed their first child together, a son also named Future, on May 19.

It seems the birth of their new arrival has left the star emotional.

“As I Leave The Hospital, I Cry Uncontrollable Happy Tears:)..I'm Now Responsible 4 Being The Best Mom I Can Be...(cont),” she wrote on Twitter.

“So Many New Challenges, Experiences, & Moments 2 Create Ahead...#ImReady. #Thankful #ThankYouGod #ThankYou (sic)”

Ciara and Future, 30, have been dating since early 2013 and they announced their engagement in October the same year. It’s Ciara’s first child, but her beau already has an 11-year-old son with model Jessica Smith.

While Ciara has stayed home in LA with baby Future, his dad had to jet straight off to a show in New York. However, the new dad is still keeping in touch so he can be involved in the baby’s first few days.

"I just texted her when I got off the airplane, and I'm going to get on the phone with her to see how everything is going,” Future said to Us Weekly, gushing: "She'll be a great mom. She's working at it every day and over time, I think she'll be the best."

Ciara confirmed baby Future’s birth via Twitter on Tuesday, posting a photo of the newborn’s hand with the caption: “FUTURE ZAHIR WILBURN 9lbs 10oz May 19 2014.”
