Ciara has confirmed the birth of her baby boy.

The 28-year-old pop star was rumoured to have welcomed her first child in Los Angeles early Monday morning.

And the Goodies singer confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, sharing a photo of the baby’s tiny hand while revealing his name.

“FUTURE ZAHIR WILBURN 9lbs 10oz May 19 2014,” she wrote.

The baby boy is Ciara’s first child with her rapper fiancé Future, who now shares his stage name with his son.

Ciara announced in January she was expecting, with Future, real name Nayvadius Cash, revealing shortly after the baby was developing an early taste for hip-hop.

"The baby is already listening to music now,” he told Perez Hilton.

“She [Ciara] sent me a video while I was over here with the headphones on her stomach. She said, 'The baby just listened to Turn On The Lights, the version with me and you!' I said, 'He gott- You gotta play that Anytime for him, the new one you did. Let him hear that. See how he kick,'" Future gushed.

Ciara and Future also already appear to be spoiling their little one.

TMZ recently reported the stars splashed out $20,000 at baby store Petit Tresor in Los Angeles to outfit their little man’s nursery.

Ciara and Future are expected to wed in the fall.
