Jay Z has reportedly told friends “nothing is forever”.

The rapper and his superstar wife Beyoncé Knowles have been the subject of media scrutiny recently after footage emerged of Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange attacking Jay in an elevator.

While neither party is yet to officially comment on the incident, the married couple have got people talking once again after Beyoncé was spotted with what appeared to be a faded version of the tattoo she has on her ring finger.

“To the public, Beyoncé and Jay Z appear to have it all. But behind closed doors, they’re not as happy as people think they are,” a source revealed to Radar Online.

“Jay’s been telling his friends that Beyoncé is getting her ring tattoo removed, the one they got when they were married. He just sorta shrugs it off though saying ‘Nothing is forever.’”

Beyoncé sports the Roman numerals IV on her left finger to commemorate the day she got married, April 4, Jay’s birthday, December 4 and her own, September 4. But fans were shocked to see the red tattoo was visibly faded when Beyoncé was sitting courtside at a New York basketball game on Saturday.

Many have also questioned 32-year-old Beyoncé’s calm reaction to the elevator attack, which took place after the Met Gala earlier this month. She was with her sister and husband when the incident occurred, but footage showed her looking on passively.

“B puts out this strong, independent woman-type persona, but she’s a wallflower with Jay and is basically just really submissive with him.

“And don’t be mistaken; B and Jay are always aware that they are in the public eye and they were prepared in case the video came out. Jay is basically laughing about it now, and they’re confident it’s going to pass,” the insider added.
