Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian are reportedly being shunned by Long Island landlords.

The TV stars announced plans in March to film a new reality show spin-off this summer called Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons.

But TMZ reports residents of the posh New York City suburb are doing everything in their power to keep the Kardashian sisters out of the neighbourhood.

It’s claimed the programme’s producers have been attempting to rent out a fabulous temporary home in the Hamptons for some time, but all of their offers keep getting rejected by landlords.

Apparently extremely affluent members of the community are concerned the amount of paparazzi swarming around their area will be outrageously high if Kourtney and Khloé show up.

The outlet claims one local source informed them residents are convinced the siblings’ presence will “attract trash and ruin Southampton”. The insider also advised them to stop hunting for properties in Southampton and look in East Hampton instead because it’s more “new money” than the rest of the area.

Kourtney, 35, and her fiancé, Scott Disick, recently purchased a new home in the gated community The Oaks in Calabasas, a town on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

And TMZ previously reported the couple have not made the best first impression since settling in the neighbourhood.

Residents there have reportedly complained to the homeowners' association about the TV crews surrounding the couple's mansion, describing the set up as a "movie type production".
