Chrissy Teigen tries not to waste time on people who call her fat.

The model still gets criticised on her figure despite the fact she’s worked with Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated.

But the 28-year-old has revealed she tries not to let the jibes get to her.

“The thing is, you don't even want to be mad about someone calling you fat because who the f*** cares?" she said to People Magazine with a shrug. "Like if somebody tells me, 'Oh, you look curvier.' That should not be a diss. The fact is, we live in a time where that is a diss."

Chrissy, who is married to singer John Legend, thinks society has a lot to answer for in its approach to size. And she doesn’t just mean when referring to curvier women either, but the way people view thinness too.

“It's horrible we can be like, 'You look so skinny,' and someone's like, 'Thank you!' That's horrible,” she explained. “That's equally as horrible to me. So the time we live in, it's upsetting."

Chrissy does her best to rise above her critics and has called them out on occasion for being out of line. But she admits that sometimes it can still be hard to ignore such comments.

“It's funny to me, but sometimes when you're having a bad day, it's hurtful," she said. "You just never know."

But one person who loves Chrissy exactly how she is is husband John, 35. The couple had been together for seven years before announcing their engagement in 2011 and married last year.

"We’re very okay with PDA [public displays of affection],” she told the US edition of Cosmopolitan. “When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing."
