David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's musical, Here Lies Love, came home the big winner at Sundays Lortel Awards for Off-Broadway productions despite missing out on the big award of the night.

Here Lies Love won five awards, more than any other show, but lost in the category of Outstanding Musical to Fun Home, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Alison Bechdel about a gay father and daughter in a family funeral home business.

The wins for Here Lies Love:

•Outstanding Director - Alex Timbers
•Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical - Ruthie Ann Miller
•Outstanding Costume Design - Clint Ramos
•Outstanding Lighting Design - Justin Townsend
•Outstanding Sound Design - M.L. Dogg and Cody Spencer

The musical had been nominated for eleven awards.

Here Lies Love played a limited engagement off-Broadway last year which was extended a number of times and has recently reopened at the Public Theatre for an open-ended run.
