Lily Allen confesses she often relies on “weird co-dependencies” in relationships.

The 29-year-old Hard Out Here singer regularly seeks therapy to deal with emotional and mental issues.

Lily believes she needs counselling in order to keep herself from slipping into negative behavioural patterns with loved ones.

“I had a session last week for the first time in a year. It helps get my relationships in order,” she told thebeatjuice.com.

“I have quite a lot of complicated relationships. Lots of weird co-dependencies. And when I’m busy, things happen. I get quite confused about my place. I sometimes need someone to tell me I’m not a bad person.”

Lily is mother to two young children with her husband of three years, Sam Cooper.

The songstress admits she partied heavily a few years back, but family now serves as a constant reminder to abstain from wild antics.

“I want to do it as best I can. I don’t want to be a smoky-cokey mum,” Lily explained.

“I hope I can keep it up. I do love smoking [cigarettes] but it just kills you.”

The star says narcotics of all kinds are “distractions” from life.

Lily is happy she chose to cut out “everything”, as she no longer suffers from post-party regrets.

“Drink and drugs don’t agree with me. No one would ever say I’m at my best when I’m really high,” she explained.
“It’s never as glamorous as it looks. It’s fun until 2am.

“I never once woke up and thought, ‘God, I had such a good chat with that person at 5am – I’m so glad I had unprotected sex with them.’”
