Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly worried her estranged husband Chris Martin might “let something big slip”.
The Hollywood actress is apparently concerned that the Coldplay rocker might discuss their divorce while promoting his new album. Sources say that Gwyneth is scared she might appear as “the bad guy” in their marriage.
“She’s nervous that if he feels emotional or sentimental he could let something big slip,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “It could make her look like the bad guy or even worse… she would not have control of the entire situation like she wants.”
Gwyneth is allegedly hesitant for Chris to speak freely. She doesn’t want the musician to share any details of their relationship in case he becomes too “emotional” during his interviews.
“Gwyneth is very worried about what is going to happen when Chris is promoting his new album with Coldplay,” the source added. “The press is going to go nuts to get any detail about her or what went wrong out of him and she asked him months ago not to say a word.”
The mother-of-two has reportedly asked her estranged husband to stay quiet about their divorce. So far, the chart topper briefly hinted about his marital issues with the Oscar-winning actress while chatting about his band’s new release this week.
“I don’t want to go through life being scared of love, failure or rejection,” he told BBC Radio 1.
Gwyneth and Chris announced they were “consciously uncoupling” in a statement posted on her lifestyle website, Goop. They have two children together and have vowed to remain close so they can raise them together.
“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the pair said. “We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
