Fergie and Josh Duhamel don't have plans for more children "in the near future".

The couple's son Axl was born in August last year and they couldn't be happier. The 39-year-old singer is adamant she wants a bigger family, although she doesn't know when they will expand their brood.

"We definitely want another one," she told Us Weekly. "But there are no plans anytime in the near future."

Josh recently discussed all the things he loves about being a dad, including watching Axl change every day. It's the same for Fergie, who shared her tips for being a working mother.

"It's all about balance. It's all about increments," she said. "I've been learning to balance my time in smaller chunks. That's the secret."

Fergie found fame thanks to Black Eyed Peas and has released solo material too. She's working on a new record at the moment and has started penning tracks for it already.

However, fans shouldn't expect the album to be strictly one genre.

"I just have such an eclectic music taste and it just reminded me of that," she enthused about why she found the Coachella music festival so inspiring.

Josh has previously chatted about his desire for a big family, insisting he would love to become a father again.

"Yeah, I think we definitely want [more kids]," he told Us magazine last month. "Especially after as well as this one has gone - the pregnancy, and now that we have this beautiful little boy, we both definitely want to have another one. There's no rush. Whenever it happens, it happens."
