Miley Cyrus has been released from hospital.

The chart topper was treated for more than a week after battling with an “absolutely horrible reaction” to medication. She suffered a severe allergic reaction to drug cephalexin, an antibiotic that was prescribed for her sinus infection.

“She is feeling much better and Europe [tour] is still on,” a source told E! Online.

Last week Miley’s reps confirmed that the entertainer would need plenty of time to recover after she canceled performances in Kansas City, St. Louis, Philadelphia, the Foxwoods casino in Connecticut and Long Island, New York.

The remainder of Miley’s American Bangerz tour dates have been postponed, with her next stop in Amsterdam. She will also travel to Antwerp, Belgium and the UK with stops in London, Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester too.

During her hospital stay, Miley posted Twitter updates about her illness. She was devastated at having to cancel her stage shows.

“can’t quit crying I wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y’all… not laying in a hospital bed,” she wrote. “reading books so i don’t die a famous pop pop dumb dumb. (sic)”

She also complained often about letting her fans down and waking up to “constant needs”. Despite her illness, Miley managed to joke with her fans by sharing a photo of her with a duck-face oxygen mask from her hospital bed.

“This hospitals full of a bunch of QUACKS ? (get it??? Quacks) #punnyeveninthehospy #stayinglightlovingandpositive #imissbangerztour #tryingtonotbebitter' (sic)” she wrote.
