Kim Kardashian is reportedly feeling "distraught" about the stress surrounding her wedding.
The reality star's fiancé, Kanye West, proposed on her 33rd birthday last year and they are due to get married in Paris on May 24. However, it recently emerged they could face problems due to France having a residency requirement prior to marriage.
Apparently the upheaval is taking its toll on the star.
"Kim is obviously distraught," a source told British magazine Star. "She is so excited about her wedding and the last thing she wants to do is delay it. Kanye is furious. He's a micro manager and he wanted the day to be perfect. It's thrown his plans into chaos."
The law states that anyone wanting to marry in France needs to live there for 40 days prior to the wedding. Even the couple's star status may not be able to help them around the rules.
"Kanye has an apartment in Paris, but doesn't live there full time," the insider continued. "Despite him and Kim being a massive power couple in the US and being very wealthy, a spokesman for the French Embassy said they would not bend the rules."
Kim and Kanye welcomed their first baby, daughter North, in June last year. It's thought the stress of organising the big day is all a bit much for new mom Kim.
"The truth is she really isn't emotionally or physically ready for a wedding," the source added. "The whole circus surrounding it is taking a huge toll on her. She's excited to get married, but it is very overwhelming for her."
