Amazon.co.uk have announced it will takeover the stage at Brighthelm during The Great Escape, kicking off in one month in Brighton on May 8-10, and will host an exclusive gig with a major UK band at a secret location within the festival.

Described by Steve Lamacq as “The Cannes of the music world”, The Great Escape is the destination for music lovers and new music fans. During the three days, shows will take place in 35 venues across the city, with music from every genre spilling from seafront clubs, tiny pubs and converted churches. With Kelis, Charlie XCX and Ella Eyre just a few of the 400+ artists performing, the event is selling out fast.

Across the three days, the Brighthelm venue will host up-and-coming new talent including Amazon’s new and emerging for 2014 artist LAURA WELSH, LE1F, LE VASCO, LIZZO, WILD CUB, FRANK HAMLTON, FE, JERMEMY NEALE, WE WERE EVERGREEN, JESS GLYNNE, ARC IRIS, SIVU, HANNAH GEORGAS, SALT ASHES, GEORGE BARNETT, and REBEKA.

Amazon.co.uk will also be hosting the exclusive Amazon Artist Lounge Live: The Secret Show with a major UK band during the three day festival. Having already sold 3 million albums in the UK in their career, this exclusive performance, one of the first by the band as part of the UK promotion of the launch of their new album, will only be open to 500 lucky Amazon customers. Amazon.co.uk will announce the band the week of 21st April, and the venue for this secret show will be kept secret until the day of the gig. Festival goers will have to keep their eyes peeled to be in with a chance to get their hands on a ticket.

Festival goers can keep up to date with the Amazon Artist Lounge Live: The Secret Show and the programme for Brighthelm stage on Twitter by following #AmazonMusicUK and @AmazonMusicUK, on Facebook (Amazon Music UK) or by visiting www.amazon.co.uk/TheGreatEscape
