After completing a mammoth sold out UK tour culminating in a jam-packed, enraptured Brixton Academy show, Metronomy will, on June 2nd release their majestic new single ‘Reservoir’ off Joe Mount’s fourth studio album Love Letters.

In its first week, the album entered the UK album charts at number 7 – the band’s highest entry to date and was also the third highest entry that week. Metronomy are due to headline Field Day on June 7th, Wilderness in August and will also play high up the bill at Glastonbury 2014.

A song about friendship (lyrically inspired by an underground reservoir near to Joe Mount’s childhood home) 'Reservoir' is about old friends who drift apart, but who can always pick up where they left off each time they see one another.

An accompanying animated music video to the track is in the works, directed by previous collaborator Daniel Brereton. Brereton has previously Directed music videos for Metronomy, Erol Alkan, Connan Mockasin, Kindness, Django Django amongst others.

Metronomy is the creation of singer, writer and producer and expert musician Joseph Mount. His band are: Oscar Cash (keys, sax, vox), Anna Prior (drums, vox), Gbenga Adelekan (vox, guitar).
