Miley Cyrus cancelled her concert Monday night after reportedly suffering from the flu.

The singer was due to perform at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, but pulled out just half an hour before she was supposed to be on stage.

According to E! News, Miley is dealing with severe "throat and sinus" issues.

The 21-year-old is scheduled to continue the Bangerz Tour on Saturday night in Raleigh, but it looks as if that, too will have to be cancelled.

According to a Live Nation press release, “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest,” reported the Charlotte Observer, adding that a notice posted at the arena by Ticketmaster said the show will not be rescheduled.

Monday night’s cancellation comes just a week after Miley’s beloved dog Floyd was killed by a coyote. The singer performed Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide, dedicating it to her pup in Boston on Thursday.

The singer tweeted about her sadness, saying, “I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away” with a picture of her and the husky.

Miley told fans last week she felt “miserable” and “broken” after the death of the Alaskan Klee Kai, and apologised to fans before continuing on her Bangerz Tour.

“I'm sorry in advance if I am not myself tomorrow Boston. I will try my best to be my best,” she wrote. “I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?”
