Miranda Lambert gets puppies whenever she is considering having a baby.
The country music queen married Blake Shelton in May 2011, with Blake previously admitting she often goes out shopping and comes home with a new pet. People have began asking when the pair will start a family, but Miranda, 30, has her hands full with the animals at the moment.
"We have a lot of four-legged babies," she laughed to ET Online. "Every time we think I might be thinking about it I get a puppy and I'm like, 'No. not ready.'
"We're so busy. It's a whole whirlwind. We'd just like to be a little more settled."
Miranda is celebrating at the moment after taking home three gongs at last night's Academy of Country Music Awards, which was co-hosted by Blake, 37. One of the things which makes the couple's relationship work so well is how supportive they are of each other.
"We're excited, we get to celebrate at these things together and that's what's so cool. We're proud of each other," Miranda explained.
The star donned a stunning gold beaded gown by Randi Rahm on the red carpet. It boasted spaghetti straps and had a plunging neckline, which showed off the blonde singer's impressive weightloss. She's been on a mission to improve her lifestyle recently, with her new look a hit with her husband.
"He was kinda like, 'Uh, oh my God.' I'm like, 'My face is up here,'" she laughed.
Last year Blake happily chatted about his wife's love of animals with reporters at a press conference. He joked that no matter what the breed, Miranda will give any dog she sees a home.
"I never know what to expect when Miranda goes to town in Tishomingo, [Oklahoma]," he said. “When she comes back I never know what’s going to be in the car. I can tell you - I’m not kidding when I say 20, maybe 25, maybe 30 times - she’s come home from the grocery store and there will either be a dog or a cat in her car. And they’re not always puppies, it might be a big [dog], a pit bull, in there and I’m going, ‘What the hell, you can’t just…’ ‘Well, it licked me so it was nice,’ and I say ‘Yeah, but you don’t know if it has rabies or what.’”
