Chris Brown could reportedly miss his court hearing in Washington, DC Monday.
The singer has apparently been en route to the US capitol since Thursday ahead of his trial for allegedly assaulting a man outside of a hotel.
But TMZ reports he still hasn’t made it despite being escorted by US Marshals for the trip.
A source told the outlet Chris made “several stops” along the way and that prisoners are usually taken to a nearby jail to await the next available flight when travelling.
It was unclear if Chris would be able to make the hearing at press time and what caused the delay.
A spokesperson for the star had not publicly commented.
The singer’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, is reportedly planning ask that a judge dismiss the case on the grounds of grand jury misconduct.
TMZ previously reported Chris could face felony charges in the case, stemming from his October 2013 arrest for allegedly punching a male outside a W Hotel in DC.
Although he is currently charged with misdemeanour assault, prosecutors filed legal documents on Friday claiming they believe there is enough evidence to support a felony prosecution, according to the outlet.
They apparently believe the alleged victim’s injuries were severe enough to require hospitalisation, which could justify a felony charge if more evidence is gathered.
Chris was ordered to remain in jail until the trial begins on April 17.
He was put behind bars after being kicked out of a rehab facility in March after allegedly breaking the rules.
The rehab stint was a condition of his probation, which began with his 2009 conviction for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
