Victoria Beckham apparently "can't get her head around" Kim Kardashian's Vogue cover.

The socialite and her fiancé Kanye West appeared on the front of the US fashion magazine's April cover, as appointed by editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Many fans of the glossy publication were outraged by the British editor's decision, as they argued the power couple aren't fashion stars.

Designer Victoria is thought to be keen to grace Vogue's cover and a hoax letter hit the internet recently where one fan listed the reasons she was more suited to the job.

"Victoria can't get her head around the cover, and the letter just makes it worse," an insider divulged to British magazine Star. "It's mocking her disappointment. She appreciates that Kanye is a global star and Kim is successful, but she can't help but feel she is more deserving because of how hard she has worked.

"She is the perfect candidate, especially seeing as she has already graced the covers of the British, French, Turkish, Russian, German and Indian versions. She has completely reinvented herself from a popstar-turned-WAG to an internationally respected fashionista."

Last year it was rumoured that Anna had asked Victoria and her husband David to shoot a cover with their four kids. However, it's thought she refused in a bid to give her family some privacy.

"Victoria felt she was a big enough name to have the cover on her own," the source continued. "It's frustrating for her to think she missed her opportunity by trying to protect her family."

Many celebrities have shared their views on Kim and Kanye's cover, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, who claimed she would cancel her Vogue subscription. Naomi Campbell also said during an interview that she wouldn't comment, before bursting into a fit of laughter.
