Last Friday (4th April) saw the launch of new destination venue MODE. In keeping with the club's 'Unannounced Fridays' policy, even the opening night guests were kept in the dark until the last minute when Rudimental took to the stage for a secret DJ set.

With champagne corks popping and the 700 capacity venue full to burst, Rudimental gave the Notting Hill crowd a set of old skool mayhem.

Rudimental’s DJ Locksmith was one of the first to test out the state of the art VOID soundsystem, the only one of its kind in the world, and also experience the DJ booth’s flame throwing church organ installation.

“it was important for us to set the bar high for our "Unannounced Fridays”. We now look forward to inviting the world's leading house and techno artists to MODE,” commented MODE’s director Jolyon Klean of the night.

MODE Club's interior has been fitted out with bespoke pieces of art curated by Robin Collings, who also creates the impressive Shangri La field at Glastonbury.

Food Ambassador Andi Oliver has been appointed head chef at MODE and her daughter Miquita was there to show her support.
