Cheryl Cole has blasted reports that she is dating a South African personal trainer.
Rumours circulated yesterday that the former Girls Aloud star had flown to the country for the second time in four months to meet up with personal trainer Steve Uria. But today the 30-year-old took to her Instagram page to set the record straight once and for all.
“Seeing a lot of fabricated stories on this.. One a great friend the other a married man.. Do they look alike to you ??” she asked in a caption accompanying two photographs of her with a man thought to be Steve. “I mean these ppl are nuts ! @joelcompass last week.. Who""s next? Roll up, roll up!.. To the fictional writers #shouldvegonetospecsavers #thatisall. Have a nice day peeps.[sic]”
Cheryl’s comments seem to also shoot down reports that she was looking to buy a house in the country. According to British magazine New! the X-Factor judge was seeking a property near the sea. “Cheryl has hired an exclusive property finder to look for a romantic bolt hole on one of the scheduled beaches," a source told the publication. "Price is no problem. She adores it there."
Cheryl was married to England footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 to 2010 but divorced after he allegedly cheated on her. More recently she has had relationships with professional dancer Derek Hough and backing dancer Tre Holloway, but their courtship ended last year.
Cheryl is now focusing all her efforts on her return to the British version of the X-Factor. It was announced last month that Cheryl would rejoin the judging panel after originally leaving in 2010.
