Max George credits Scooter Braun with helping him “live his dreams”.

Scooter was the manager of The Wanted before they broke up, and now represents Max and fellow bandmate Nathan Sykes.

According to Max, Scooter, who also manages Justin Bieber, is the reason The Wanted took off in the first place.

“@scooterbraun our fans are passionate! Love yah mate! See u soon. This man helped us live our dreams. Be good to him. Not too good though ;),” he tweeted on Monday adding, “Lots of emotions these days. But all filled with love. Thank you!!! X.”

The band announced in January that they were going on “indefinite hiatus” this summer, with Max widely tipped to be the first to launch a solo career.

But the singer says he is in no rush to move on to his next project, preferring to take some time to focus on himself and relax.

“I’m actually going to take my time before I decide on what I’m doing. I’ve just bought a house in Manchester, and I want to have to time to settle down for a bit, take a break and play some golf,” he UK newspaper the Manchester Evening News.

The 25-year-year old insists he has nothing concrete in place and he might even return to the band someday. But for now, he just wants to be in his home town.

“Some people seemed to think I’ve got a masterplan, and that I’d decided to leave the band which I haven’t at all,” he said.

“Manchester is my home, and I was always going to get somewhere to settle here.”
