Kanye West reportedly turned himself into police for booking without being noticed yesterday.
Earlier this month the rapper pleaded no contest to criminal battery and attempted grand theft after he was accused of attacking Daniel Ramos outside Los Angeles International Airport last summer.
He was sentenced to 24 months probation, given 240 hours of community service and ordered to anger management classes. As part of this he had to hand himself in for booking, with TMZ reporting he did that yesterday.
Kanye's trip to the police station went completely under the radar. He apparently arrived at Hollywood LAPD station by 4.30pm, where he posed for a mugshot and got his finger prints taken.
Apparently the whole thing only took 49 minutes, after which the hip-hop star was free to leave.
The rapper has a notoriously difficult relationship with photographers and has been open about how much he hates being followed around. The interest in him has soared since he began dating reality TV star Kim Kardashian, with paparazzi swarming the couple and their baby daughter North whenever they are seen out together.
However, in October last year it seemed Kanye had rethought his opinion of paparazzi. He apparently spoke to a photographer while he was filling his car with petrol in Calabasas, California, and admitted he wanted to put the past behind him.
"I know it makes a cool photo, I got a cool ass car, I got a dope ass outfit on it’s all good but we’re in this together," he was quoted as saying by TMZ. "You help me, you help with the family, you help Kim, I’m not trying to be at you all the time.
"I don’t want to be a negative influence on you guys, I don’t want you to be negative on me, I would prefer that we have a good relationship."
