Gwyneth Paltrow’s website crashed Tuesday after being inundated with hits.

Readers flocked to the actress’ lifestyle blog Goop after Gwyneth posted a statement admitting she and husband Chris Martin are separating after more than 10 years of marriage.

The site clearly couldn’t handle the sudden influx of visitors and crashed under the strain.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," reads the post titled "Conscious Uncoupling".

"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We have always conducted our relationship privately and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

Gwyneth and Chris have been married since December 2003 and share daughter Apple, nine, and son Moses, seven.

The actress has spoken before about how important her family is to her and insists she will always prioritise their well-being.

"When I’m with my kids, I give them everything I have. And when I’m not, I give whatever I’m doing everything I have. And that’s my work/life balance," she told Red magazine last year.

"I’ve made it work for me, but it doesn’t matter what my specific thing is, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what you think of yourself. And what your children think. So if anyone is going to ask my advice, I’d say, do what is right for you and don’t give a s**t what anyone else thinks."
