Taylor Swift is apparently “on a break from dating” on the advice of her business team.
The singer has been very open about how she writes about the men she has relationships with, both good and bad.
But apparently this is causing significant drama in her personal life, much to the chagrin of her team.
“Taylor’s advisers are tired of setting her up on dates only to have her strange personality scare men away,” a source told Radar Online.
“Taylor is almost impossible to find dates for because of the nature of her music, which focuses heavily on heartbreak and ex-boyfriends. None of the guys she shows interest in want to be the subject of a mean song six months down the road or be painted the bad guy, so Taylor’s team want her to take a break from boys.”
With a dating ban in place, it is apparently hoped that the 24-year-old will focus all her energies on her music.
Taylor’s people also reportedly want her to have female friends who will support her and encourage her to look outside of relationships for song inspiration.
“They hope she will focus on building some strong female friendships and use that as an inspiration for the next phase of her career,” the source added.
There have been rumours that Taylor’s friendship with Selena Gomez is under strain ever since Selena started seeing Justin Bieber again. The pair were both at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, but were not photographed together. However, this is said to be down to how busy they both were at the high-profile event.
“They did interact briefly with pleasantries, but were also separate for most of the night while they were there. There are so many celebrities there, and things happening, that they both were too busy with their own night,” a source told Hollywood Life. “They didn’t really connect because they were hanging out in their own worlds.”
