Pete Wentz knew that My Chemical Romance were a band to watch out for from the get go.

The Fall Out Boy bassist is a huge fan of the rival band, fronted by singer Gerard Way, and favours their second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

Pete didn't hesitate when he was asked what his top My Chemical Romance tune was and even said he thinks the band will be remembered for a long time to come.

"I'm Not Okay blasted on the scene out of nowhere, and you knew then that MCR were a band to be reckoned with. While their later material on the Black Parade will go down in history as some of their best music, I'm Not Okay was the first thing that I had heard of theirs where I went, 'This is absolutely insane!' It had an awesome video too," Pete enthused to Britain's Kerrang! magazine.

My Chemical Romance release their greatest hits album May Death Never Stop You next week, a year after they announced their official break up.

MCR bassist Mikey Way still can't believe how much success and adoration the band received throughout their 12 year career.

"It's crazy the amount of love and respect that My Chemical Romance have received. It's humbling. Once the band ended I was able to actually look back at our career and be like 'Holy sh*t!'

"I had life-changing experience upon life-changing experience, I did things I never dreamed of as an eight-year-old boy. I did the impossible, and every day I smile about my brothers in MCR. I wouldn't trade the experience for the world," Mikey smiled to the magazine.
