Snoop Dogg hopes his uncle rests in peace.
The 42-year-old rapper expressed remorse over the tragic situation via his Twitter account Friday.
In the message Snoop notes just how much he cherishes his uncle June Bug, who is thought to be on his last legs.
“rip uncle junebug . greatest to ever do it !!! heaven wouldn’t be the same without u !” the star wrote to his 11.2 million followers.
According to TMZ, Snoop is currently at the hospital with June Bug and other loved ones.
Sources tell the outlet that although the musician’s uncle hasn’t passed yet, doctors expect him to die by the end of the day.
June Bug, 70, suffers from fatal colon cancer and it is believed Snoop is comforting him by his hospital bedside during the man’s last hours on earth.
June Bug often joined Snoop on concert tours and he was seen dancing onstage in support of his nephew’s music.
The Reincarnation star shares three children with wife Shante Taylor, and he previously spoke about how important family is to him.
Snoop believes a strong family bond is much more important than the superficial glamour of celebrity.
“When it all goes bad and there’s no more success, no more cameras, no more videos, no more people wanting autographs or music, it comes down to who really loves you. It’s nobody but yourself and your family. That’s what’s really important to me,” he said in an interview with Vibe.
