One Direction have shown a united front by posing for a charity selfie.

There have been plenty of rumours that One Direction are on the rocks, with some claiming 20-year-old Harry Styles has distanced himself from the band.

However, UK newspaper The Sun today posted a selfie the boys took during some time out from rehearsing for their Where We Are Tour.

Harry and bandmates Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson look closer than ever in the snap.
The shows are set to kick off in April and will run until October.

Despite working well together, it seems Liam could be branching out to work on new projects alone.

In the past, artists such as Ed Sheeran have penned tracks for the group, but now Liam is turning the tables and offering to help other singers.

British newspaper The Mirror reports that his first project will be UK band Neon Jungle, which consists of singers Amira McCarthy, Jess Plummer, Shereen Cutkelvin and Asami Zdrenka.

“He told us he wanted to write for us and likes our sound, which was amazing. We couldn’t believe, so that’s definitely something for the future,” Amira told the publication.

One Direction have been enjoying success since they were formed on The X Factor UK in 2010.

It was recently announced that Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell will rejoin the show’s judging panel this year and Liam weighed in on the matter.

He thinks it will work, because singer Cheryl doesn’t pussyfoot around the music mogul.

“Yeah, she’s not afraid of him at all, obviously some people are too scared to say what they think around him on the show and she’s, like, ‘No you’ve brought me in to do a job and I’m going to do it,’” he praised the star.
