Lil Wayne surprised TV fans with a freestyle at the Woodie Awards.

The rapper made the trip to Austin, Texas recently for the mtvU ceremony, which aired in the US on Sunday.

Wayne got the crowd on their feet as he stormed the stage in a black hoodie, checkered pants and sunglasses, spitting rhymes to his 2008 track A Millie.

MTV News reports Weezy then welcomed the crowd to the show, and left them with a treat, freestyling a few lyrics about why he’s at the top of the rap game.

"You can have the eye of the tiger, I'm the one the tiger better have is eye on,” he said into the mic.

The freestyle was a major treat for fans as Wayne revealed earlier this month his next solo album would be his last.

The 31-year-old rapper is preparing to retire after his forthcoming LP Tha Carter V hits shelves in May.

"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five," he told MTV News.

Wayne founded recorded label Young Money Entertainment in 2005, and artists signed to the banner include hip-hop heavy hitters Drake and Nicki Minaj.

The star is willing to appear on tracks with other musicians in the future, but guest features is all he can promise.

"I plan on it being my final solo album," he continued. "Whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue."

He did say, however, he would consider a return if the price was right.

"$25 to $35 million would get me to do another solo album after this," he deadpanned. "I didn't smile when I said it.”
