Chris Brown’s lawyer is pushing back against allegations he assaulted a woman at a nightclub last summer.
The 24-year-old singer is accused of intentionally pushing a woman to her knees after his performance at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California last June.
TMZ reports the nightclub owners have offered the alleged victim $15,000 after she claimed to have injured her leg.
But according to the website, Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos has now filed documents asking a judge to block the settlement, which he claims is “grossly unfair” to the singer.
Chris and the nightclub were both named in the lawsuit filed by the plaintiff last year.
Deanna claimed she needed reconstructive surgery after tearing ligaments in her right knee and appeared on TMZ Live wearing a cast on her leg.
Chris has reportedly pointed out holes in the woman’s story, however, noting surveillance video of the alleged incident shows her appearing to limp on her opposite leg at the club.
The owner of Heat Ultra Lounge, whose name has not been released, spoke in support of Chris days after the alleged altercation.
He said Deanna had repeatedly tried to jump on the stage during Chris' performance and then attempted to ambush the star in a roped-off VIP section of the club. He also dismissed claims Chris assaulted her.
"Based on the information which we have gathered from our security company, mall security, and other party goers which were at HEAT on Saturday night; It is apparent that the alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is false," he said.
The owner said Deanna was later ejected due to her alleged attempts to come in contact with Chris.
He also said the woman took her stilettos off and threw them at security before she left.
"Heat staff and security did what they had to do ... [Chris] was a complete gentleman," the owner said.
Police were called to the scene but no arrests were made.
