Jay McGuiness was left with a bloodied face after an altercation in a club in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Wanted star headed to The Villa in Essex with bandmate Tom Parker on Saturday night to celebrate Tom's girlfriend's birthday.
According to eyewitnesses, there was an altercation inside the venue, which saw Jay brawl with security, before being bundled outside.
“Everyone was standing around the front door and there was a big kerfuffle in the foyer," an onlooker told British newspaper The Sun.
“Jay then got dragged out by the bouncers.
“He was shouting and screaming and they were trying to pull him back. He was putting up a struggle.
They ushered him into a corner to get him to calm down but he wouldn’t. One bouncer clocked him after he was throwing a wobbly and they were trying to get him out."
The publication has pictures of Jay, 23, with blood around his ear and mouth as he is dragged outside by security.
His pal Tom apparently tended to the singer outside the venue and made sure he got into a cab.
There are also some photos of 25-year-old Tom with spots of Jay's blood on his white shirt, but it's been confirmed he wasn't a part of the brawl.
“Someone said they were going to check the CCTV to see exactly what happened," the witness continued.
“He was huddled in a corner for a while. Jay got shoved about a lot but he was pretty smashed.”
A spokesperson for the star confirmed there had been an "altercation" and revealed Jay had been left with some "minor cuts and bruises".
Rather than putting his side across on Twitter, Jay kept quiet about the incident.
Instead he took to the site to wish Tom's girlfriend, Kelsey Hardwick, a happy birthday.
"Hope you had a great birthday misskelseyh! Lots of love from the mcguiness house! (sic)," he posted.
