Nick Lachey finds fatherhood "rewarding".
The former boyband star has been married to Vanessa Minnillo for two years and together they have a 17-month-old boy called Camden.
While fatherhood isn’t a walk in the park, Nick hasn’t been put off and confirmed in a recent interview that he does see more children in their future.
“Being a father isn’t always easy,” Nick told In Touch magazine, “But it’s so rewarding. It’s easily the best thing I ever did.”
“We definitely want to have more, but I don’t have a time frame. It would be fun to have a girl!”
But for now, the couple are just happy to watch their little boy developing.
The former 98 Degrees singer admits to being fascinated by how much Camden is taking in and starting to do.
“He’s running around like a maniac now, and he’s starting to really talk,” Nick shared with the publication. “It’s so fun to see how he’s absorbing everything we say, like it’s all starting to click. And not just a word here and there — full sentences! The other day he said, ‘Bye, Daddy,’ which was pretty cool. All of a sudden, he’s a little kid who you can talk to, who talks back.”
Nick isn’t sure if Camden will follow in his footsteps and share his love of music, but his son has inspired him when it comes to his song writing.
The 40-year-old revealed during the interview that he sings to Camden on a regular basis.
“I wrote a song for him called ‘Sleepy Eye’ and that’s my favourite,” he said.
