Shakira's boyfriend won’t allow her to make music videos with men anymore.
The singer and Gerard Pique went public with their romance in 2011 and their son Milan Piqué Mebarak was born in 2013.
According to Shakira, her football player partner considers it inappropriate for her to do racy music videos with other men.
"He's very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women,” she told Billboard. “It's more than implied in our relationship that I can't do videos like I used to. It's out of the question - which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna."
Shakira admits she asked Gerard’s permission to do the raunchy video with Rihanna for Can't Remember to Forget You.
The 37-year-old singer says the athlete, 27, won her over with his charm and attention.
"During the World Cup, he'd say, 'If I score a goal, I'll dedicate it to you.' But we weren't dating then," she recalled.
While motherhood is something Shakira loves, she has no plans to become a full-time stay-at-home-mum. The Colombian beauty is not ready to give up her creative side just yet.
"A part of me - well, all of me - wants to be with them all the time and be a housewife,” she said. “But there's another part of me that still wants to make music and that's still pleased with success. I won't deny it. I know it sometimes sounds almost immoral to admit you like success, but I like it - I like it."
