Victoria Beckham is reportedly keen to emulate Angelina Jolie's tireless work for charity.

The fashion designer, who once again attracted praise for her latest collection at New York Fashion Week last month, has just got back from a humanitarian trip to South Africa.

Working with HIV charity Born Free, Victoria was pictured looking dressed down as she visited children and families affected by the disease in Cape Town.

"Victoria and David have carefully masterminded their transformation from 'well known' into globally famous stars and they want to put it to good use. They're almost as well-known as Brad Pitt and Angelina are now and working on that level alongside them is something that really appeals to them," a source revealed to British magazine Now.

"Victoria especially has always admired Angelina - she carries herself with such grace and garners so much respect from her peers. Victoria would love to emulate that."

Victoria and David married in 1999 and were soon referred to as Brand Beckham thanks to their global appeal.

They have always been heavily involved in charity work and David often attends fundraisers and charity drives.

Last year he pledged to donate his £3.5million fee from French soccer team Paris Saint- Germain to a children's charity and now sources say 39-year-old Victoria also wants to donate more of her time to good causes.

"Victoria's trip to Cape Town marked the beginning of a new era for her. She wants to push herself beyond her fashion business and discover more about the world and how she can help other people," the insider added.
