Sean Kingston was supposedly sought after by police for skipping out on a $8,000 bar tab.

TMZ reports the 24-year-old rapper was in the Dominican Republic recently, and went out with pals Saturday night to a local hotspot called Euphoria.

According to the outlet, there was a miscommunication between Sean and the venue managers, who apparently told him they would “take care of” the group.

Sean reportedly believed that meant his friends’ drinks were being comped and ran up a bill of $8,771.

The Beat It hitmaker purportedly left after drinking and smoking hookah without paying, prompting managers at the club to call authorities.

Sean is said to have been tracked down by police on Sunday and told he would have to pay up before he could leave the country.

The star was reportedly “very apologetic” and returned to pay the check in full.

The purported weekend incident wasn’t Sean’s only run-in with the law recently.

The singer supposedly settled an alleged gang rape case last year after he was accused of raping a drunk teenager in his Seattle hotel room in 2010.

Sean vehemently denied the claims.

TMZ reported at the time the rapper was due to face court in November but wanted to avoid a “messy civil trial” in order to focus on his music career.

Criminal charges against Sean were dropped in 2010, when it was concluded the woman wasn't credible enough for a case.
