Editors unveil the video for their new single, ‘Sugar’ today via Shortlist.

Filmed in a disused abattoir in Antwerp over three days in February, the short by Joe Vanhoutteghem and his Belgian team at Czar capture the claustrophobia and creeping menace of one of the darkest love songs from Editors recent album ‘The Weight Of Your Love’.

The shoot involved a host of extras prepared to risk life and limb and some less than comfortable moments for the band in creating something that plays with perspective and expectation to confuse and disorient the viewer.

Following the release of ‘The Weight Of Your Love’ in July of last year, Editor fourth consecutive UK Top Ten album, the band have played extensively across the world.

Live highlights include headline slots at Rock Werchter and Lowlands, high profile appearances at Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds in the UK and a sold out UK tour to close the year. The band return for two very special shows at London’s Roundhouse on the 18th and 19th March, both of which are totally sold out following another string of sold out European shows currently taking place across the continent.

‘Sugar’ is released by PIAS on 24th March.

‘The Weight Of Your Love’ is available now, also in PIAS.
