Musician and entrepreneur will.i.am is excited to announce ill.i Optics, a new eyewear brand launching in stores in the fall of 2014.
Born from a long grown passion for experimental eyewear, ill.i is the result of a creative partnership between entrepreneur and glasses connoisseur will.i.am and long-term friend, designer George Gorrow.
The collection will include progressive sunglasses and optical styles for men and women, designed by George Gorrow under the creative direction of will.i.am. The frames draw inspiration from memorable moments in will.i.am’s early career and eyewear influences including 1980s hip hop pioneers – expressed in contemporary design, unique technical details and future thinking which shapes the will.i.am world.
will.i.am is renowned for his contributions in the world of style and innovation, including recent initiatives such as the design of a new creative space in Los Angeles, the launch of i.am.auto, i.am+ as well as philanthropic activities for technology in education.
ill.i Optics will be available in stores from September, launching with a multi-channel global campaign.
