Lou Reed tribute to go ahead at SXSW

Lou Reed will be given a musical send-off with a tribute in his honour at SXSW in March.

The Official SXSW Tribute to Lou Reed is being presented by Lou’s mates Richard Barone and Alejandro Escovedo with guests Garland Jeffreys, Susanne Vega, Wayne Kramer, Bobby Bare Jr, The Fauntleroys, The Baseball Project, Louise Goffin, Cindy Lee Berryhill, Cheetah Chrome, Jesse Malin, The Black Lips and Sharon Needles.

The concert will take place at the Paramount Theatre on Congress Ave, Austin from 7:30pm until midnight on Friday, March 14.
