Gwen Stefani’s mother is her “inspiration”.
The 44-year-old pop star is very close to her mom, Patti, and rang in her birthday Monday evening with an endearing tweet.
“Happy b day to my beautiful mom - what an inspiration u r = #luckydaughter gx,” Gwen wrote (sic).
The singer included a picture of her mom smiling, showing the resemblance between the pair.
Gwen is meanwhile expanding her own family, making Patti a grandmother once again.
The No Doubt diva announced in January she and husband Gavin Rossdale – who already have two sons, Kingston and Zuma – would soon be welcoming another baby boy.
“I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys,” she tweeted with a picture of herself wearing a gold crown.
Gwen and Gavin have been together for 16 years and married for 11. The singer in 2012 revealed she really wanted a third child a couple of years prior, but it didn’t happen at the time.
“I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn’t really work out,” she told US Marie Claire at the time. “So… I feel good with what we’ve got. Everything works out how it should. You can’t plan anything, right? You can try.”
Now that she's had the fortune to welcome a third, it seems Gwen is now getting anxious.
She took to Twitter again last week, lightheartedly pleading for the birth of the baby boy.
“Somebody please pop me soon gx,” she mused.
