Max George has tweeted a cryptic message about not letting people get too close.

The British singer, one fifth of boyband The Wanted, took to his social media account while he's over in America enjoying a stay in Hollywood.

Max has had a tough time recently, after apparently splitting up with his model girlfriend Nina Agdal earlier this month.
It was also announced in January that The Wanted would be taking a break once they've completed their Word of Mouth World Tour, with the European leg kicking off in March.

"Never get too attached to anyone unless they also feel the same towards you, because one sided expectations can mentally destroy you, (sic)" Max retweeted, originally posted by an account called @Fact.

It's not clear who Max may be referring to in this puzzling tweet, but there have been reported tensions within the band since the split was announced.

Following the news, rumours surfaced that some of the other members of the band, which also consists of Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker, felt that Max had "shafted" them.

Max went on to talk about his solo career ambitions to British newspaper The Sun, which prompted bandmate Siva to speak out.

"I think we all need to talk, sit down, and discuss this as a band. And honestly, I think quite frankly, what Max did was very disappointing,” he told Perez Hilton.

After Max's initial tweet, the 25-year-old hunk didn't seem too disheartened.

"Awesome day today! Good night.... Tomorrow is another day ..... Obviously, (sic)" he told his 1.3million followers.

He then went on to entertain fans with a few more facts before he hit the hay.

“@Fact: Twerking is actually good exercise. It works the deep muscles of the hips, as well as the core muscles of the lower back and abs (sic).

“@Fact: gossip reduces stress in women” go ahead ladies!!

"Fact. Going bed. Sweet dreams peeps. X (sic)," he said before signing off.
