Robert Pattinson is supposedly “working on his music”.

The 27-year-old Twilight actor is currently filming Queen of the Desert in North Africa, but being abroad hasn’t kept him from creating melodies.

It is claimed Robert has been strumming his instrument whenever he finds a break.

“During his free time on set, he is working on his music. It’s a bit tough because he’s so busy, but of course he takes his guitar whenever he goes,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Robert is apparently committed to launching a career in music very soon and it is rumoured he has been collaborating with some of the top recording artists in Hollywood for quite some time.

The star reportedly wants to wrap up all of the movies he is involved with in order to focus on writing songs.

“Rob loves acting, but his real passion is music. He’s eager to record a solo album when he finishes up his film commitments,” the insider said.

“Last year, he started working with one of the top songwriters in the industry. They hope to produce and record a hit single when they are finished, along with an entire album as well.”

Robert has been romantically linked to Kristen Stewart again recently.

The Twilight co-stars had a well publicised relationship, but broke up after trying to make things work when Kristen was caught kissing married director Rupert Sanders in 2012.

And his new music may have been inspired in part by their tumultuous romance.

“Rob’s always had half a mind on his music, but when his film career and relationship with Kristen both took off at the same time, something else had to give,” a source explained British newspaper The Sun previously.

“He’s really enjoyed picking up his guitar again properly and it has given him something to focus on during the break-up.”
