Kanye West is planning on “breaking the boundaries” for his upcoming wedding to Kim Kardashian.
The Yeezus singer is set to marry reality star Kim this summer after proposing in October last year.
But according to reports, the rapper is becoming a bit of a groomzilla with the wedding plans.
“It’s just insane,” a friend told Britain’s Heat magazine. “Kanye has basically billed it as … breaking the boundaries of what to expect when it comes to a wedding.”
The superstar couple have confirmed their plans to wed in France, and they have previously been spotted checking out the Palace of Versailles.
They are unable to hold their nuptials there, but that hasn’t stopped Kanye’s extravagant plans.
“This will be the event of the year,” the friend continued. “Think fashion runway, stage show performance. Think avant-garde. Think nothing like you’ve ever seen.
“Kanye’s saying ‘This is a concept event based on a wedding.’”
As well as picking the perfect venue, Kanye is hoping that he can secure an A-list wedding guest list including Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Karl Lagerfeld and no doubt fellow superstar performers Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
But all his planning could be leaving fiancée Kim in the shade.
“He’s sometimes even forgetting to involve Kim in the meetings with the wedding planner,” the insider revealed. “She feels like the whole thing might be spinning out of control.”
This will be Kanye’s first marriage, and the third for Kim, who was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000-2003 and basketball player Kris Humphries, which ended after only 72 days in October 2011.
