Victoria Beckham says she “was the happiest” in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old fashion icon temporarily relocated to southern California with her family while her husband David played soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Although the couple and their four children moved back to London early last year, native Brit Victoria found residing in the States refreshing.

"Living in America for six years was the happiest I think I've ever been," she told Allure magazine.

"It was much more accepting for a woman to have a career, as well as a man. And I loved it."

Victoria’s athlete husband David revealed during a press conference earlier this month he had become the owner of a soccer club in Miami.

And while speculation is rife Victoria is upset with her beau’s plans, she insists they have never been more on the same page.

“[David] is the most wonderful man I have ever met,” she gushed.

“He’s a fantastic father. He’s incredibly talented, a wonderful husband. I supported him for many years, and he’s proud of me. He supports me. We’re very equal at home.”

Victoria’s comments come amid reports she’s concerned over David’s decision to set up a soccer franchise in Miami.

The former Spice Girl is said to have fears about the distance between them as she remains in London working on her clothing line while he establishes his team in Florida.

"Vic thought they'd finally reached a point in their lives where they'd be able to spend more quality time together.

London's now her base with the new house, her first fashion store and the kids' schools," a source told British magazine Closer.

"And, while she's supportive of David's plans, she's told pals she'd hoped their days of working in different parts of the world were over. He's reassured her they'll make time for each other, but she just doesn't want them to live separate lives."
