Madonna hates hearing her own music when she’s exercising.

The Queen of Pop has been in the music business for 30 years and it seems the superstar is now a bit bored with some of her songs.

During an interview with ET Canada, the singer revealed her feelings towards her back catalogue when she’s working out.

“I hate my music!” she said. “I'm sick of it – like turn it off!"

Thankfully the fitness fan was exaggerating and she revealed that while she doesn’t listen to original versions of her music, she is a fan of a remix or two.

“Remixes are good!" she said. "Remixes of my music are good because they reinvent them."

As the queen of reinvention herself, it’s no surprise she likes a fresh take on things.

Madonna has always loved exercise and in 2010 she opened her first Hard Candy gym, named after her 2008 album.

The Open Your Heart singer now has branches around the world including Sydney, Rome and Moscow, and this week she opened her latest addition in Toronto, Canada.

The 55-year-old braved the pain of a recent ankle injury to lead a group of 50 members in an exercise masterclass.

After the session, the mother-of-four shared her pain with her fans on Instagram, posting a picture of her putting ice on her ankle.

Alongside the picture she wrote,"Harder is better! Post work out! Foot in the ice bath. A girl has to make a living. Hard Candy Toronto. Addicted to sweat.”
