The Hop Farm Festival, Kent’s much loved music festival is delighted to announce co-founder of The Beach Boys - Brian Wilson as it’s first headliner of the revived event in July 2014.
One of popular music’s most deeply revered figures and the main creative force behind some of the most cherished recordings in recording history, Wilson will bring his unique and legendary sound to the UK’s Garden of England. Indeed it is no exaggeration to call Brian Wilson one of the most influential composers of the last century and The Hop Farm Festival is proud to welcome him to the festival in 2014.
Brian Wilson’s illustrious career has spanned six decades and this Grammy Award winning composer, arranger, producer and singer-songwriter is often referred to as the ‘Mozart of Rock’ and the ‘Gershwin of his generation’. Wilson has been feted by many music icons including Leonard Bernstein, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, and Sir George Martin and continues to dazzle audiences around the globe, collaborating with some of pop and rock’s most iconic artists.
Hop Farm Festival is delighted to announce that multi-million selling James Blunt will also appear at the festival. James Blunt is one of the UK’s biggest music exports, with 17 million albums, 20 million single sales, 250 million Spotify plays and 257 million YouTube views. Blunt’s critically acclaimed new album Moon Landing heralds a return to the limelight for this multi-Grammy nominated, Brit Award winning superstar.
Also confirmed to appear is Dutch songstress Caro Emerald, whose number 1 album Shocking Miss Emerald catapulted her into the hearts and minds of the British public in 2013, with her appearance at The Royal Variety Performance cementing her place as one of the world’s most sophisticated style icons.
Hop Farm Festival is also proud to announce Squeeze, the iconic British band whose songwriters were once described as the ‘New Lennon and McCartney will appear at the festival, adding to the line-up are UK favourite singer/song-writing legend Paul Carrack and the award’s-winning chart-toppers The Feeling.
Brian Wilson’s UK exclusive headline appearance on the main stage at The Hop Farm will bring some Californian heat to the festival’s mid-summer celebration and British fans will be delighted to lap up the ‘Good Vibrations’ his set will bring.
The ‘All New Hop Farm Festival 2014’, is a 3 day event taking place on 4th, 5th and 6th of July 2014, offering fans the chance to experience some of the best live music in the beautiful surrounding of the Kent countryside. 2014’s brand new team will not only bring you great artists, but will provide exceptional food and hospitality making it unique on the festival circuit.
With a greater emphasis on providing ticket holders with a fuller festival feeling, the brand new Hop Farm Festival 2014 have invested over £500,000 in the festival sites infrastructure, providing fans with far more than just their basic entry.
